Grooming Terms and Conditions

Health

I understand that grooming can be stressful to some pets, and I will inform the groomer if my pet has any medical conditions or stress prior to grooming. I understand that it is necessary to have my pet up to date on all vaccinations, parasite treatments and medications prior to every groom, and this establishment is not liable for potential infections and diseases contracted. I understand that there can be rare unforeseen complications during grooming including allergic reactions, clipper rash, cuts and nicks, panic attacks, aggression requiring the use of a muzzle, and nail bleeds. I understand that the establishment will do everything it can to avoid these issues and I will raise any concerns or questions I have with the above-mentioned prior to grooming. I understand that accidents do happen in grooming and I will not hold Likeable Pets Pte Ltd or any of its employees responsible for an accident or injury to my pet.

 

Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, I authorize Likeable Pets Pte Ltd and its staff to immediately seek professional veterinarian attention for my pet (at my expense.) I understand that all attempts will be made to contact me in the event of an emergency.

 

Pricing

I understand that the cost of a groom has many variables and can be different from animal to animal and even groom to groom. I understand that the price of a groom is worked out once my pet has been physically assessed and the price is dependent on the condition of the coat, length of the coat, amount of knots and mats, the grooming style I want, and the behaviour of my animal.

 

Payment

I understand that it is my responsibility to ask for a quote before the groom begins; by handing the animal over, even without asking for the price, I am consenting to the price of the groom. I understand that I will not receive a refund if unhappy or my expectations differ from reality. I agree that I will pay the balance in full at the time of completion of grooming of my pet.

 

Service

I agree that if I have any issues with the groom my pet receives, I will address this while on the groomer is still at my premises as amendments to the groom will not be made once the groomer has left.

 

Coat Condition & Matting

I understand that Likeable Pets Pte Ltd puts my pet’s comfort above all else. In the event that my pet’s coat is matted, I understand that the groomer may have to clipper the coat short in order to get under the matting rather than perform a painful de-matting procedure. I understand that if my animal is matted it may not be clipped to my requested length.

I understand and consent to allow the groomer to do what is best for the animal including shaving the animal’s coat all the way down if the groomer deems it the only appropriate action. This includes the possibility that it might be clipped all the way down to the skin to remove any mats.

I understand that an animal that is matted, it is at increased risk of injury during the grooming process including nicks, clipper rash, skin irritation, hematoma, physical stress, mental stress, and other health-related risks.

I understand that during the process of grooming a matted coat, the animal may show signs of pre-existing conditions such as skin irritation and/or sores due to matting, bruising, flea bites, lumps, and previously unknown pre-existing conditions.

I understand that by passing my animal over, I do not hold Likeable Pets Pte Ltd or any of its employees responsible for accident or injury to my pet during the removal of matting and any veterinary bills if any injury is sustained during this risky process.

I consent to obtain any emergency veterinary treatment at my own expense if any injury arises as the result of matting removal.

I understand that additional grooming fees will apply for animals with matting and it is my responsibility to ask for an approximate quote during booking of the grooming appointment. The cost of grooming a matted dog starts from $30 depending on severity and cost of grooming a matted cat starts from $50 depending on severity.

I understand that Likeable Pets Pte Ltd can only provide an approximate quote during appointment booking as matting removal is charged by the time it takes, which is something that can’t be calculated until underway.

 

Social Media & Online

I consent to the use of my animal/s’ image for social media and marketing purposes by Likeable Pets Pte Ltd and the groomer who performed the groom. I understand that sometimes third parties share images of grooms and I consent to this taking place. I will not attack/criticise Likeable Pets Pte Ltd or any of its employees, associates or partners publicly online. This includes forums, blogs, community groups or any social media.

 

Changes to Terms & Conditions

I understand that I can review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions via the Likeable Pets Pte Ltd website. I understand that Likeable Pets Pte Ltd reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to their website. It is my responsibility to check the website periodically for changes. My continued use of or access to our website or the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms of Service constitutes acceptance of those changes.
